Chapati Bread

Posted by Unknown at 4:42 AM

Chapati is an indian flatbread. My family likes to eat it with vegetable stew or curry, but I prefer to eat it alone, or smothered with delicious cream cheese.
This is a quick and easy recipe for Indian Chapati bread, that can be made in less than an hour. A friend of mine gave me this recipe, since she knows how much I love chapati! Now, onto the recipe!

Recipe

-1 1/2 cup flour
-1 tablespoon oil
-1/4 tsp salt (or more)
-1/2 cup WARM water

Instructions

1. In a bowl, mix all ingredients in order, by hand until it becomes a soft dough.
2. Knead a couple of times and then divide the dough into 6 balls.
3. Roll each ball and fry with a tablespoon of oil until done. It is kind of similar to making pancakes.
4. Place on a plate with parchment paper to remove the excess oil.
5. Serve immediately.

Store in container for a few days or freeze. Re-heat in microwave.
